What is Pre-Power?

 

Pre-Power is geared for skaters who are interested in hockey or ringette. This program helps develop basic skating skills in a power skating environment focusing on balance, forward, backward, stopping, turning and agility skills. Skaters must be able to stand up on their own and show basic forward and backwards skating techniques. Skaters do not necessarily need to wear full equipment but it is recommended. 

Must wear a CSA hockey helmet, use hockey gloves and a stick. 

 

This program will be coached by Kim Yzerman on Wednesday from 5:20-5:50pm  and is limited to 10 skaters.

Skaters must have passed all parts of CanSkate Stage 1 prior to joining this group

but no higher than Stage 4.

Fall - October 23 to December 18

9 sessions @ $180 - 30 minutes 

$ 118.30 + $61.70* ( Skate Canada Member Fee) = $180

1st Payment of $75.00 is due on registration + Raffle Tickets (Basket of Cheer - 1 booklet)

2nd Payment (remaining balance) is due November 1st

 

There will be a $50 late payment fee placed on any registration made after October 15, 2024

as we need to plan for coaching staff and the program.

*Skate Canada Fee is non refundable ($61.70) and included in the above prices. 

 

Fundraising / Volunteer Hours

 We ask that each family in this 9 week program sell $75.00 worth of raffle tickets and no volunteer hours will be required. These tickets are purchased at the time of registration and families have the option of selling them and keeping the funds or entering the draw themselves. The draw takes place in December. Note: If skaters have a sibling in another program, no tickets will be issued and charged.
